Chapters 10-12 Creative Blogging
Hey class! Since I am away enjoying the bright lights of NYC, this is your chance to blog about anything relating to these chapters of the novel. Be creative, tell me your feeling and ideas, and make sure it is at least 8 sentences long!!!!
Chapters 7-9
An important quote from this book is "You never really understand a person until you consider things from his point of view...until you climb into his skin and walk around in it". Give two examples from this novel of times characters should have done this and explain why this would have been a good idea. Also include a time that you either "walked around in another person's skin" or SHOULD have done so. Explain the situation, how you acted, and how you feel about it now.

Chapters 4-6
It is somewhat controversial that the N word appears in this book (watch http://www.canada.com/Global+Video+Brampton+school+bans+Kill+Mockingbird/1886535/story.html for the latest controversy). How did you feel when you first read the N word in the book? Do you think it adds to the story or takes away from it? How do you feel when other words that are not considered "politically correct" (such as saying someone is a "retard" or something is "gay") are used by your peers or in books. Explain your opinion but be sure to provide reasons for your point of view.
